Squidoo is a unique social networking site, a bit like a cross between wikipedia and a personal blog, though the unique thing about it is they encourage you to earn money from your work and they share the advertising revenue from the site with the members! You can write a lens(squidoo webpage) on any subject you like using a number of different templates to add to it. The More traffic it gets, the more money you get! But the money does not just come from their google adsense payout, you can also boost this income from adding modules/templates to the store that can link to thousands of merchants, selling millions of items!

If a person clicks on one of the items you have put in the ebay/amazon/itunes section and then goes on to spend money in that store you get a percentage!

For the more experienced web-master you can add your own affiliate links to the page, though experience and knowledge of html is not required to build a squidoo lens(page).

Payouts are monthly via paypal, and the revenue is divided amongst the pages made on 3 levels. For Julys payments the Lowest tier of basic pages with little or no traffic got 4cents per page, the middle tier of those lenses that had traffic and a reasonable ranking got 73cents. The lenses that earnt the most got $4.12.

My first good lens earnt a wopping $15.90! That was $4.12 for having a high performing lens and over $11 in affiliate sales. These sales are always broken down on squidoo so you can'talways tell which affiliate they are from. The only sales that show details are amazon, so you can't always tell where the money is coming from. As I only had 2 money making modules on that page during July and one was amazon, I can work out that the extra $11 came from my Cafepress Module. I also can verify this as one of the sales was for an item in my own cafepress store which earned me an extra $1.20 on Cafepress. I'll discuss Cafepress further down the page.

I know of some lensmasters (squidoo for webmaster) who regularaly earn 3 figures from squidoo forjust a handful of lenses on popular subjects and by keeping them up todate they earn nice amounts.
